I’m sure Wales is very beautiful. Despite Drakefords attempts to make it cold and unwelcoming! What kills most Londoners nowadays is actually drowning under an avalanche of PCNs. Thanks Sadiq

"deadnaming some hills" 🤣

Patrick Moore (not the squinty astronomer but the founder of Greenpeace - which he now despises) has a great chapter on nuclear power in his book 'Fake Invisible Catastrophes and Threats of Doom'. He also brilliantly exposes the climate change scam.

I like your writing style, brings the argument to life and exposes the absurdities.

Thanks so much John. Very much appreciate that.

Nice post, yes nuclear is the best way forward. But our globohomo elite would rather go for Net Zero and have the peasants starve.

Also, love the name of your blog.

I really like Rob Henderson’s idea of Luxury Beliefs, so the name’s sort of from that. I’ve never heard of the term globohomo before. I found out it’s meant to be portmanteau of globalist and homogenous, But it still feels a bit anti-gay to me and I’m definitely not that-so I’ll stick to neoliberal I think. I’ve had a look at your sub, it looks fascinating. So I’ll start with part 1 when I get a minute. Good luck with that and thanks for commenting.

They are the chosen ones. If this is a war. Then they have absolutely no trouble imagining themselves as the heroes.

Favorite quote! Excellent article. Climate hysteria is a cult of religious fervor.

I enjoy your writing style. You point out the absurdity with humor with the flare of a common sense observer!

Here in the USA we sometimes term those who use race issues into money making schemes to the detriment of the issue- race hustlers. I think the same use can be said about global warming, green energy zealots- climate hustlers!

Look forward to reading more from you.

Thank you so much Deidre K. Absolutely they are climate hustlers! It’s a huge transfer of our money, to them.

Good piece, thank you. Nuclear power is expensive because fears of radiation have been maximized, massively increasing 'elf and safety measures.

Much like the COVID 19 (a.k.a the 'flu) nonsense. A balanced energy approach would be best, but nuclear was and should be part of it.

As regards what kills Londoners most I suspect this is the NHS now but don't tell everyone that.....

Have you seen this latest advice allegedly released recently. Probably fake news.

By the way Wales is very beautiful and not a wind swept wilderness.

But I like London last time I visited which was before 2020. Given the stupid actions of the Met police I am not that keen any more. However when I did go I did use the train and my bicycle, a very efficient way of travelling and seeing London. I was using it for work as a building surveyor as much as anything.

We don't need to stop oil. We only need to drill deeper to tap into its renewable nature:

Anyone who believes the baloney that carbon dioxide is a poison that plants can live without is likely to be highly ignorant about the facilitation of nuclear proliferation by a country being dependent on external source for its nuclear infrastructure.

"It seems that changing the name of the Brecon Beacons from something everyone knows, and has used for years, to something no one understands, and can’t spell or pronounce, is actually widely popular."

They're not "renaming it", they're simply sticking with the Welsh name from which the English name actually derives.

And yeah, locals approved, not people in London who've never been but "might visit someday" and get confused when when they see any other language apart from English. It's like a Scot getting all wound up because they're changing the name of a park in Thanet.

Is there really a climate crisis, though?

I’m open to climate change being a problem. I’m not prepared to entertain the idea that unless we destroy our economy and society we face inevitable and imminent Climate Apocalypse. But of course, even asking for some level of proportionality brands you as a ‘denier’. It’s not helpful.

I don’t believe nuclear waste is simply ‘not’ a problem any more than I believe that it is a problem which humanity ‘cannot’ solve. In fact it sounds like huge steps have been taken to solve it already. I’ll definitely check out the videos you mention. Thanks for commenting.

it's only a problem because they have intentionally made it a problem. We could have powered everything on Earth with < 5% of what has been dug out of the ground by child slaves in countries we've participated in abusing. The band had it right, "you take what you need and you leave the rest". That's not what we do in so-called western society.
